My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi Im Neil

Yup, Neil. Great name, aye? Super-chill-Neil, thats me!

Im a purebred Saint Bernard, 5 years old, and 101lbs (it would be good for me to put on a few more lbs!). They call me a gentle giant, I dont need a lot of exercise, Im a chilled out boy. I love to lean on, and into, my humans, and follow them around.

I take treats so gently, I basically lick them off your hand. Im not much interested in toys, and I need a home without other dogs/cats/kids. I am potty trained, and know "sit," "stay" and "down." Im considering learning how to "roll over" because I like to shift from side to side when I lay down.

My first few years were sepent as an outside dog, then I had a home for a few weeks, but it didnt work out with the 3 year old child, so I found myself back at a shelter. Its scary here, and Im becoming a little tentative about things, I bond quickly and I miss having a human. I really just want to lean into someone who loves me, and have a lap to sit on (so to speak), so the nice shelter staff asked Lady's Hope Dog Rescue to find me a home.

Will you be my home?

Love, Neil
