My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Beautiful Sadie (formerly known as Pearl) was adopted by a wonderful family in Merrick, NY a short time ago, but unfortunately, she is a bit too big to play with their small dog ~ (however she is by no means aggressive) and she would also love to have a bit more space to run and play. Sadie would do best in a home on a property with fenced acreage or multiple lots - with another large dog or where she could be an only dog. This breed loves to "herd" so if you have sheep or other livestock, Sadie's your gal! When she was in rescue, she regularly played with a large dog buddy, and she was also good with cats. This breed also needs a safe place to run, so a high, secure fence is needed. (underground fencing is not recommended) She's very people-oriented and doesn't enjoy being crated or sequestered in a room by herself. This is a gem of a dog as anyone who has owned this breed can attest. If you can offer Sadie the kind of home we are looking for, please contact me for an application. (She is currently in NY and meet and greets can be set up once your application is approved)
