Updated bio 12/1/2015 – Roxye is an 8 year old, 12 pound, adorable Yorkie girl. She is being fostered in Athens, GA

Meet the new and improved, very sweet, Roxye. She is now sporting a slimmer figure at 12 lbs. 9 ozs. She still may have a little more to go, but we will let the vet give us his opinion this week when Roxye goes in to get her teeth cleaned.

This little girl will make an excellent companion for someone who likes to get out and walk their dog. Roxye also loves to cuddle on the couch. When the temperatures are cold, she likes to burrow under a blanket to cuddle.

Roxye has excellent leash manners and she is housebroken. Roxye is a Silky Terrier, not a Yorkie. The two breeds are similar.

Roxye’s foster parents have discovered that she is terrified of small children; therefore she can only go to a home with adults or maybe with one child over the age of 14.

Initial Bio 9/15/2015 Roxye is a 8 year old, 15 lb female Yorkie Mix being fostered in Canon GA.

Is it the Easter Bunny? NO! It is just Roxye who has just hopped into United Yorkie Rescue along with her pal Indigo her 14 year old Yorkie bestie. Roxye and Indigo belonged to a senior gentleman who had to entered an assisted living facility and was no longer able to care for them. These two sweet gals would LOVE to be adopted together as they are very close. They have a very sweet disposition so far and are both cute as can be. They have just entered their foster homes today so stay tuned for updates as we get to know them better!
