My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I would like to say, 'hi' and introduce myself, but I'm very shy. My foster mom is going to help me tell you a little about myself because I'm not confident enough to do it myself. I'm a beagle and about 1 year old. Everyone comments on my wonderful ears and my cuteness. I only weigh about 18 pounds. I used to live with lots of other dogs (like 130, I think) and I loved all of my doggie family. I really didn't know much about humans until one day in April when a bunch of people showed up to take us all to new homes. I'm really not very comfortable with humans and still get nervous around them, but my doggie friends in my foster home keep telling me that they won't hurt me and only want to love me. I'm starting to believe them, but I still get scared sometimes. My foster mom tells me about a place that would be my 'forever home.' I think I would like one if there were other dogs there. I would love to be a playmate to one or two or three or even more doggies in a forever home. If you have other dogs, a big heart, and can be patient with me while I learn to trust and love you then I think I could like being in a family. Will you take a chance on me? I love food and treats of all kinds, playing with other doggies anytime, going for walks (even better if they turn into runs) and playing tug with the blankets in the mornings when its time for my foster mom to get out of bed and feed me my breakfast. While I am nervous around humans, I do get even more nervous when they leave me. If my doggie friends are out and I'm in a crate I get very stressed, so my foster mom leaves me out with them, but I do have 'accidents' while she's away. She has started putting potty pads down for me when she's gone and I'm using them so she says we have reached a compromise, whatever that is. Wouldn't you like to have a bundle of cuteness such as me in your family? Visit www.houndsong.com to fill out an application! My adoption fee is $200. For this, you get ME, who is up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered,and microchipped. If you have questions about me or the adoption process, please visit www.houndsong.com.
