My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy is in Rose Hill,NC. He was rescued by a man and then the man was rescued by the dog. He is one of our own! A family member who passed away way too young and when he did his beloved dog Booger was right by his side. Booger was alone with him for over a day and night.

Booger had come from what we believe might have been a bait situation. He is uneasy around other dogs so we would prefer his new person have him as they’re sole dog companion. Its unknown whether he has issue with cats but he gets along great with children.

He walks fairly well on leash but is wary of cars when they pass. He barks when someone bangs on the door, but not for a gentle knock...seems to be smart enough to perceive a possible threat vs. a friendly visit ;)

Booger is about 2 years and neutered and very ready to have another human to love. A family member that goes to the house several times a day has been taking care of him. But he witnessed the loss of his person and is now alone otherwise. As you can imagine since he is fearful of other dogs and we are all pet people we need to find him a compassionate person to love him for the rest of his life and give him that safe feeling forever. Time is of the essence since there will be a new resident moving in soon and he only has until December 1st. Please consider adding him to your home and heart.
