My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tux was rescued from a local kill shelter when his time was running out. He is an 3 year old Labrador Retriever mix and weighs in around 55 lbs. Tux has such a sweet personality and has been nothing but a joy while in rescue. It was obvious early on that Tux had never received much TLC in his past as he was scared of everything. With time though, he has improved so much! He is building more and more confidence each day and we are incredibly proud of him. He is now able to enjoy time with people, is comfortable in a kennel and crate, takes treats, and even enjoys playtime! Tux needs an adopter who is willing to continue working with him so that he can overcome all of his fears!

Tux really loves to be petted and enjoys time with his people over everything else. He is a people pleaser and only wants to make everyone happy. He would be great in a home with older children (he still exhibits some puppy energy and can be overwhelming to young kids at times) and would love an active owner who will walk/run with him regularly. Because of his shy nature, Tux needs a quieter home where he will not be overwhelmed. He is up to date on shots, crate trained, neutered, and current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. He is also microchipped. This loving boy is ready to move on to his forever home!
