My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Larry is a girl, who is a bundle of pure love. She is housetrained, spayed & knows her basic commands - sit, down, come and stay/wait. She is very social and loves to be around people and children. She doesn't always remember her size or realize her strength at times.

She loves playing with other dogs, but proper introductions need to be made, as in any situation dogs can be picky. She is not aggressive toward cats but does like to chase and nuzzle them. She takes redirection of this behavior well and is constantly learning the proper way to interact with cats. She loves to run and play but also just relax and cuddle.

Larry did have a pre-existing condition when she was found. She was limping and after examination she needed to have her left hindquarter ACL replaced. This was completed in early October and has since received the 'all clear' from the surgeon. She is back to 98% if not 100% of her regular self.

Larry was found by a family of 3 on a deceased neighbor's porch, her namesake, whose house was for sale and empty. She would lay in the sandbox with their son while he played and would roll his trucks over her. The husband took Larry to work with him at a construction site and she laid around and watched as the construction workers went about their day. Larry was just too much dog for their 2 elderly very small dogs who were out of the 'wanting to play' stage, especially with such a large girl.

Please give Larry a forever home for the holidays. She is truly deserving to have a family of her own, who will love her as much as she will love them unconditionally.
