My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Koda is about 11 mos old as of July 2008. He is a handsome sable merle with blue eyes . His coat is pretty shades of browns . Koda stands about 17 in at the shoulder . Koda came to us from a shelter where he had been placed in a drop box there . He weighs about 20 lbs and is of athletic build . Koda gets along well with other dogs and loves to run and play with them . He has not been evaluated with children , cats . He must have a fenced in yard in which he can safely run and play and run off energy . Koda is a healthy sheltie that is quick to learn routines . The challenge with Koda is that he is extremely shy and scared of many things . With a lot of patience from his adopter , he may be able to gain much more confidence .



What Koda needs is an adopter who is prepared to nurture him and be patient with him while he learns about the world . He will probably need to learn about the world in a very safe and slow manner so that he is not overwhelmed . Helping a sheltie to gain confidence and be all that they can be is very rewarding for the person(s) that take on the challenge . Koda will do best in a quiet and understanding home .



Koda's foster home finds each of his little advancements to be very gratifying but he needs a home of his very own and his very own people to love and to love him .
