My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rudy is a senior Pekingese mix. He was an owner surrender at a shelter in Baltimore. The owners said he was old and slept too much and took him to the shelter to be euthanized. Thankfully, the shelter put him up for adoption instead and then allowed us to take him into rescue. He is up-to-date on his medical and he also had a dental this week. He has plenty of energy for a 15 year old. Rudy does enjoy his naps. He is one of the easiest dogs I've ever had at my house. He was perfect with all my dogs. Rudy is very affectionate and loves attention. He also loves to walk around outside and explore the yard. Rudy is also house trained. He can do pretty good on steps but some times needs a little help. The only negative thing I can say about this boy is he is anxious in the car and cries when in one. He also does not like to be contained in a crate. Other than that, this boy is perfect!! Rudy is also good with cats. Rudy is being fostered in the Tidewater area of Va. If you would like to be considered in adopting Rudy please complete our on line adoption application. We require a home visit and vet reference. We do not transport our fosters to their new homes. Rudy's adoption fee is $250. He is completely up to date on all his medical and is micro chipped. He is also on heart worm preventive.
