BILLINGS (R)'s Story...
Billings is a beautiful, sweet 10 month old boy who weighs about 45 pounds. He came to the shelter as a stray on 01/11 and his family did not think to look for him in the shelter. His coat is so soft and clean so he was not lost very long. He makes no noise in his run and walks nicely on a leash. Billings will sit and stay when he is sold. He is current on vaccines and neutered. He will be tested for heart worms when adopted. He is waiting for his new family in run 24 and his ID# is 581599.
When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, the names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

BILLINGS (R), a Marietta Australian Cattle Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
