My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Randy is a 6-year-old, cream colored Standard Poodle who came to us in rough shape, but he is on the road to recovery now. He was released by a commercial breeder (puppy mill) to rescue, and he was probably used as a stud dog to crank out litter after litter of puppies that end in -oodle for retail puppy stores. So far, he has been good with other dogs and cats, seems crate trained, and does his business outside, unlike most puppy mill dogs. We think a structured environment in a quieter child-free home with a fenced yard and another dog to teach him the ropes will be ideal for him. He is missing an ear, but it’s not clear if it’s from an injury or a birth defect. Regardless, it was infected when he arrived and is being treated now. He is a little shy, but he is coming out of his shell as he meets more loving people who aren’t interested in profiting from him. Email plusdogs@ILDobeRescue.com
