Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Loki is a friendly, fun, and sweet 4-year-old Black Labrador Retriever mix whose owner sadly passed away. She joined our program with her good pal, Calvin, a Bull Mastiff (who is also searching for his forever home). When she came to IDR+ she was very overweight. Although she still needs to lose weight, she is has shed some pounds and is looking and feeling much better. She has truly blossomed in her foster home. She is a very happy, wiggly girl. Loki gets along great with her 2 doggy foster brothers and loves to play outside with the resident Doberman. She is very fast and races with him from one end of the yard to the other. When outside, Loki loves to play the game “pat my butt” – she will run a circle around her foster mom, stop with her little butt facing her foster mom, tail wagging so fast her whole body wiggles, so her foster mom will pat her butt, then she will do it all over again! Loki did see the cats in her foster home started to chase; however, when told to stop, she did. She is very responsive to doesn’t mind following the rules. Although the cats live harmoniously with the 2 dogs in the foster home, they do run from new dogs that are brought into the home. Loki would probably be okay with cats in time as well as a slow and proper introduction. She is friendly and sweet so should also be fine with children. She would appreciate a home with a canine friend for a playmate. However, Loki is happiest when she is with her person. Email plusdogs@ildoberescue.com
