My story

Meet beautiful Shayna...
Shayna came to us gravely ill with the Canine Influenza and pneumonia. For awhile we weren't sure what her outcome was going to be, but she has pulled out of it (with a lot of meds, breathing treatments and TLC)! She is a beautiful German Shepherd mix, approximately 5 years old. She has the SWEETEST disposition and just loves to be loved on. She is fully housebroken and is a perfect house guest. She knows many obedience commands and is all about pleasing. Shayna loves to go on walks and helps her foster mom when she is bringing the garbage/recycle cans to the curb and back. She has also demonstrated wonderful alerting skills when she hears things going on on outside. Shayna loves people and her foster mom says she is great with touching her anywhere, and also doesn't care about people doing anything with her food bowl, toys or bones. She has a super soft mouth and when she retrieves, she will gently give you the toy back. The only naughty thing she has done is to pick up a tissue that was dropped - she seems to really like them :-) However, she is happy to let you take it from her or she will drop it. She is just happy to lay at your feet and get some lovin. Really enjoys being with her people.
She hasn't been tested yet with dogs, but has been living in same house with a large Shepherd (who doesn't like other dogs) and a Pittie (separate rooms). She was at a Petco store and sniffed another dog through the crate and was fine. I think she may just be picky about who she likes. She's a wonderful, loving girl.
