My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mona is a young girl, 8 to 8 1/2 months old.  Her owner passed away, so the owner's daughter tried to take Mona to her house.  But the resident dog wouldn't accept Mona and was being mean to her.  To keep them separated, Mona had to go outside.  With winter just beginning, though, that wasn't a good solution.  So Mona was surrendered to find a better situation and a forever home.  Mona is young, so she still has a lot of puppy in her.  She is in boarding for now, which doesn't give her the attention or exercise she needs.  She hasn't learned how to entertain herself with toys, so she likely hasn't had a lot of play and interaction.  She eats quickly, because if she got any food at the last house, she had to woof it down. She has gained a bit of weight since she came to us, now weighing 49 pounds.  She has a sweet disposition and is friendly to everyone.  When tested at the local shelter, she accepted every dog she met, paid no attention to the lobby cats, and greeted the visitors with a waggy tail. She's young and wants to please, so training should go smoothly.  Mona needs a home and family right away, for she has been bounced enough!  This is a good dog who would be a great addition to any family!
