Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Barbara Jean
Sex: Female
Breed: Red coonhound with possible lab (possibly mixed with a bully breed)
Age: 3 years old (May, 2017)
Temperament: Friendly
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Cats: Unknown, can test for an approved applicant.
Good with Kids: Yes
Barbara Jean has come to us without fault of her own. She did not get the proper attention she deserved. She likes to be active. She would be a great addition to a family that has plenty of running and playing. She has an authoritative bark that will definitely let you know when someone has arrived at your home. She is very active and loves to chase squeaky toys and tennis balls in particular. She's he kind of steady dog that you could easily envision riding beside you in a truck or acting as official greeter of your own pack of pups. She likes people alright but prefers to play and meet other dogs. She is social and likes to chase squirrels. She does fine on a leash and rides okay in a car. She is a strong willed Southern woman that has definite preferences- she does NOT like her food to be delivered late! But she does like chicken treats very much!

We are a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. All dogs coming from Peach County Animal Rescue are spayed/neutered and vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella. Each dog is also heartworm tested and treated monthly with heartworm prevention. Our adoption fees range from $175-350+. On average, our fees are $250. Fees are higher for dogs that came to us with additional things like professional training (i.e. service dog, working dog). We look forward to hearing from you!
