Hi, my name is Violet and I am a young, sweet Chiweenie!! My luck took a turn for the better Saturday January 23rd. This nice couple took me in, wanted to keep me, but their big Doberman thought I'd make a better snack than friend. So, there I was with them standing in line waiting to be turned into the Front Street Shelter. In walks my savior... She was there to save another dog that the shelter was going to murder, but she took the time to give me some nice pets. The couple asked her if she wanted me. She didn't even hesitate and replied, "if the shelter can give me a crate to transport her safely, then I'll take her." I can't even tell you how relieved I was when the shelter found and donated the crate. Just like that, I was in a crate and then in my guardian angel's car. The other dog kept coming to the back to check on me which was kinda scary because I could tell he'd been in the shelter for a really long time; he was super stressed out and wouldn't calm down. Anyways, after a long ride and a photo shoot, I got to my foster mom's house. She has some big dogs, but I just let them sniff me and submitted. To my foster mom's surprise, I'm crate and potty pad trained. I like to play ball, dance around in circles and sit in people's laps. I can be a little shy, but I warm up quickly. I also LOVE the water. I can swim and my foster mom took me kayaking and I had a blast. I swam into the river after some ducks, it was such a good day! Do you want an active dog by day and a lapdog/pursedog by night? I'm the girl for you! Please, no big dogs that want to have me for a snack. I wouldn't mind having a doggie playmate though and I guess cats are okay. Pick me and I will do my special Chiweenie dance for you!
