Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Alice is Bernie's litter mate. At 9 months old, Alice looks even less like her parents than Bernie. She is an active, fun-loving pup who loves to run and play with other dogs. Alice had never had on a collar or walked on a leash until she came to Lizzy's, but she is learning. Her house manners are good and she is pretty well potty trained with only an occasional accident. Alice loves to snuggle with both people and dogs. She, too, stays with her person and is very affectionate and loving. She loves attention and praise, not to mention treats and toys. Like Bernie, her favorite activities include playing with tennis balls, kongs, and squeaky toys, racing around the yard alone or with other dogs, and hiking or jogging with a person. Alice, however, is even less socialized with people than Bernie. It will take Alice longer to feel comfortable with a new person. She is more comfortable meeting small dogs than big ones, but she is living with a variety of big dogs at present so she is adjusting well to them. She also likes to boss the other dogs around and will take over any household if not kept in check. She does have some prey drive so cats and other small animals will not be appropriate. And like Bernie, Alice isn't too fond of car rides. If you're not careful, she'll wrap herself around your neck like a scarf. This cute little girl is at the stage where she is learning new things quickly. She is smart and receptive to training, as long as there are lots of rewards for her, especially praise. She is inclined to be protective of her possessions and people, so she'll need a strong person to teach her that isn't necessary, that Alice will be protected by her family. In the short time Alice has been with Lizzy's Lodge, she is learning quickly. She is really developing confidence as she discovers new life experiences. We are very pleased with her progress and feel a loving, calm family who is willing to continue helping her to grow will find a wonderful, loving puppy that will bring fun and happiness into their lives.
