Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bernie is an adorable 11-month-old Lhasa/Pit mix puppy whose family tree must have lots of other breeds in it as he doesn't look like his parents at all. He is an active, fun-loving pup who loves to run and play with other dogs. He is learning some basic commands and is improving on a leash. Bernie has decent house manners for a puppy, although has been known to push a chair to a window so he can climb to get a better view. He is pretty well potty trained and is learning to be comfortable in a crate. Bernie was not very well socialized with people so he barks when he encounters new people. As he has grown and been around more people, he is less cautious with new people. He is very interested in new people, but needs more confidence when meeting them. He is excited to meet older children, but may jump up on them. He is very excitable and noisy when meeting large dogs, but has very good manners when meeting small dogs. Cats? He may be interested in chasing them, but will stop when corrected. This little guy is a cuddler with both people and dogs. He stays with his person and is very affectionate and loving. He loves attention and praise, not to mention treats and toys. His favorite activities include playing with tennis balls, kongs, and squeaky toys, racing around the yard alone or with other dogs, and hiking or jogging with a person. He isn't a fan of car rides, at least not yet. Bernie is a smart puppy who is learning quickly. His interest in food makes him easy to train. Of course he'll have a few tricks up his sleeve for his owner such as sitting up to beg for anything he wants. His antics are so adorable, he's hard to refuse.
