My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Very sweet and gentle little 30 lb golden mix; 2-3 years old, fully vetted and undergoing slow kill treatment for her heartworm. Completely house broken, crate trained and quiet. Loves to cuddle, play with toys, great on a leash and loves car rides. Has done very well with my dogs here and plays with them but possibly may need to be the only pet due to a prior incident while in foster care where she had an incident with the resident dog. Hoping this was a one time thing as I have seen zero aggression in this girl. Lassie has had a rough start in her young life, and has the saddest eyes and face, but is really a happy girl, and the most loving couch potato. We spend many hours cuddling together and watching tv. She would be the absolute perfect companion for a mature senior-asks for so very little and loyal to a fault. She does have a distinct and apparent fear of all men in general . This is usually indicative of a dog that has been abused severely in the past. Although we've been working on this with her, and exposing her to social outings that include males, we have seen no improvement in her fear issues. So, she'd be best placed in a female only home, unless the male can be infinitely patient. She is not aggressive to men, but petrified of them.Adoption application, vet and professional ref, home check and small rehome fee all apply to adopt her to an indoor home only
