My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi I'm Priscilla! Rachael Ray, I need you to adopt me! At least someone as caring as Rachael Ray is and loves us Bullies like she does. I have a very horrifying and heartbreaking story about what happened to me. It's amazing I'm alive today so I believe I have a strong will and am very special. Despite what happened I'm in fabulous spirits and prefer to look forward and get on with my life. My head was 99% severed from my body hence the scar around my entire neck. The only thing not severed was the jugular. I was infested with maggots that had to be scooped and flushed out. Emergency surgery was performed immediately in a mobile unit. The veterinarian sewed my head back on. To top it off not only was I almost dead when I was found but I was also pregnant and so severely emaciated, I weighed 20lbs! The vet said it was clearly the worst case he had ever seen. I was a skeleton. What we think happened was that when I was a puppy I was tied up with a nylon clothes line around my neck but as I grew nobody loosened the rope so it grew into my neck until my head started to detach. So while I was tied up and starved with my head barely attached I was raped. I guess my will to live kicked in and I chewed the rope to break free and escaped. I was found in a ditch barely alive with the rope still in my neck. That was then and this is now. I am ready to move on and be a fun loving dog and have guardians that give a dang and know how to care for a dog and give a dog love and respect and who will show a dog kindness. Just some love, respect and kindness is all I'm asking...ok, a couple of meals a day, some treats,a few toys, walks are good, a cozy bed.....am I getting carried away? See, I have a sense of humor. I will make someone or a family really happy, I know it! If you would like more information about me or to adopt me please. Thanks everyone for listening and a huge thank you to the rescue team that saved my life! It's good to be alive y'all! WOOF! Priscilla XO...my adoption will require a vet reference as well as a personal reference and a home visit. As always, a fenced yard is required for all adoptions. Please don't ask to be the exception. We also feel she would do best only with older children, as Priscilla can be quite hyper and might overwhelm a small child in their exuberance.

All of our dogs are house & crate trained.  They are ALL indoor dogs with outdoor privileges. Homes with fenced in  yards are preferred.

All our pets are spayed/neutered, and  up to date on their shots prior to adoption.  Adoption fees go toward the cost of care for this pet and future animals we rescue.
