Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Everybody, get excited! Handsome Bronco is now ready for adoption! You might remember his moving photos of him lying on the floor at animal control, unable to get up. After some TLC in a foster home, he’s recovered from a nasty upper respiratory infection and gained some much needed weight. Bronco is truly a wonderful boy. This snugglebutt loves people and follows them around. He also LOVES chewing on bones and playing with them. It’s very cute to watch him play with the bones. Check out the video of him choosing which ones he likes. Bronco seems to be completely housebroken as he hasn’t had an accident yet! He is overall well-behaved. Bronco is very tall and has a very long Dober-nose, making his hobby of counter surfing very easy to do! His foster family is working on curbing this activity. He is extremely food motivated, so training should be a breeze! He’s already learned how to sit for a treat, and he’ll give a paw voluntarily. Sometimes both paws at the same time! His foster mom took a quick video of Bronco taking a treat nicely so you can see him in action. Like most Dobes, Bronco’s not a fan of the rain, but he’ll go out and potty when he wears his donated ‘Bandanas to the Rescue‘ jacket. Bronco enjoys to run around in a fenced-in yard. His foster mom thinks she can see a smile on his face as he enjoys all that freedom. Bronco has met the resident dogs through a baby gate and seemed okay with them. He’s also met the resident female dog outside on a leash and enjoyed greeting her. Even though he seems like he’ll be just fine with other dogs, we will continue to do slow introductions until the dogs are acclimated to each other. Due to his size and energy level, he can be placed in a home with children 10 and up. Email dobes@ILDobeRescue.com
