My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

9-24-09   Theodore is a 9 week old Chihuahua mix.  He will be available for adoption on Sept. 26, 2009.  You can meet him and his two brothers at Petsmart on Blanding Blvd this Saturday from 12-4 pm.

He will be a small dog, who will need to be kept inside and given lots of tender loving care.  A very sweet boy who loves to cuddle up beside you on the couch.  He is progressing very well on his crate training and adjusting to the crate.  He loves rope pull toys and pretending he is bigger that 3 1/2 pounds!  He loves his foster bothers and sister. He will do best in home where he can have lots of attention and love.  He bonds quickly to his care givers an is truly the perfect companion.

For more info on this pet, please call 904/673-5813, or send an email to:
catbugno1@comcast.net.  We are able to respond quicker to email communications than telephone message.  We will do our best to respond to your inquiry within 24 hours.  Please be patient.  We are all volunteers, and taking care of the needs of the animals is our first priority. Many of us work full time jobs and have our own pets and families.
Our animals are kept in private foster homes, not a shelter environment, so we are better able to determine their individual needs and personalities.

This pet has been examined by a veterinarian and had a fecal exam for intestinal parasites.  It has also been dewormed and has received age appropriate vaccinations against infectious disease.  All pets are spayed/neutered prior to final adoption.  Dogs have also been micro chipped.

The amount we request as an Adoption Fee will be a fair and reasonable amount depending on the type of animal you are interested in adopting, its age, and the medical expenses we have incurred to get it 'adoption ready.'  We are a nonprofit agency run solely by volunteers, so all revenue goes into our general fund for animal care and related expenses.  Some animals are healthier than others on intake.  Some will require only minimal medical care, while others will require several months of medical care and rehab to get them healthy enough to go to a new home.
