My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Andover is a typical little scruffy street dog that was seen foraging for food for weeks in a pretty bad part of town. He and a buddy who was also saved, were just trying to survive.. He was very timid and scared and we had to enlist the help of a trapper to rescue him and his buddy..He is approx 2 yrs old and 15 lbs. He is still rather shy and timid, but every day gets braver. He will follow the other dogs in and out of the house and hang out with them but has not started to play yet. He likes to chill out on a chair or doggie bed and watch everyone. He will do best in an all adult household, somewhere where he can feel safe and have lots of love and tlc.. He will need some more leash and house training but seems to be doing quite well at both..not sure of his breed mix but maybe wire haired terrier and shaggy jack russell mix may be a good guess hard to tell with some of these dogs…He did test heartworm positive and has been treated with the required series of injections, we also started him on a monthly heartworm preventative.

The total adoption cost of $475 includes the required interstate health certificate and transport , spay/neuter, shots including rabies, bordatella, parvo, lepto, distemper and canine influenza, and micro chip with a lifetime pre paid registration . The total amount is payable to Shaggy Dog Rescue which is a 501c3. All our dogs are in foster care, there is no physical shelter. Some have not yet arrived in PA.
