Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Einstein was rescued from the streets of Los Angeles in terrible condition. He was dirty, matted, and had ticks sucking the blood out of him all over his body. Aside from the neglect, Einstein may have been abused as well. He is submissively fearful meaning that if a person tries to initiate any contact with him he falls over on his back in a "don't hurt me please" position. He also flinches a bit like he is afraid to get hit. Our rescue has been working with him on the simple things. We have leash trained him and he is doing so much better, but he freezes and has a hard time crossing streets still (he is afraid of cars).
Einstein is absolutely not aggressive. He even let's you hold a bowl/put your hand by his chicken when he is eating and has no defensive food aggressive reactions. He takes treats so very gently out of human hands. He is adjusting to sleeping in dog beds and going potty outdoors and is making much progress. He is fine with other dogs but doesn't "play" with them. It may take him some time to learn because it doesn't seem like he was socialized much. He is very mellow and tolerant of many things. He also loves to give kisses/lick your leg or arm randomly to show affection.
