ABOUT JASPER
Jasper is a 3 to 5 year old seal bicolor ragdoll mix that came from a hell-hole of a shelter where he was basically living in his own waste. I have been holding off on introducing Jasper to our fans, because this poor boy has had a very long, rough road. As a Tomcat on the streets, he had obviously had a very rough life and it has taken him all this time to get in good physical condition. He suffered for quite some time with an upper respiratory infection and then he had some other short-term medical conditions that required ongoing care. He is now healthy and ready to go home.
Jasper is an extremely affectionate cat who follows you around, especially when you are in the kitchen. His favorite room in the house is the kitchen. His favorite thing to do is to sit in the kitchen while you are cooking. His next favorite thing is the kitchen when you're fixing his lunch. If you have noticed a common denominator in all of these comments then you noticed that Jasper likes the kitchen. LOL.
Because Jasper lived on the streets as a tomcat and because he has obviously never lived in a home environment, he is a little rough around the edges. He sometimes forgets that humans are his friend, though this never happens when you are feeding him.
He can be a little rough when he plays, and he definitely needs to go to a cat experience home. Because he had to fight other Tomcats for food and women LOL, he is not particularly fond of other cats and would do better as an only cat. In fact, as I was writing his description right now, I had to stop and go put him in timeout.
He would actually do well in a home with a grumpy old man or a grumpy old woman who can appreciate his special kind of personality. This is not to say that he could not go to a home with a non grumpy person or a non grumpy family

Adoption fee is $150.
Sorry, we do not ship our cats or provide any transportation. All potential adopters should reside in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, or Louisiana. We will not adopt outside of those states.
Who We Are: We are a private rescue and privately funded. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, BUT A RESCUE. A rescue is a PRIVATE HOME and not a public place to visit. Adopters must make appointments prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.
Adoption Process: We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you call or email us, we will provide you with an application via email.
