My name is Shadow!
Well that is my name now that I am with my foster family! I am approximately 1 year old!
I found myself at an off island gas kill pound waiting for what felt like forever for someone to come and get me … FINALLY that one day came and my CAA Rescue Foster Family was there to help me out and bring me into foster care
I was so happy and relieved but also a little confused and weary about my new surroundings
I live with other dogs in the home and am very friendly but like a typical husky boy I am high energy and play play play is all I want to do!
I have met many dogs & people on my adventures I am absolutely friendly with everyone I meet!
I have not been tested with cats. I do not show a strong prey drive so far in foster care but it would probably be best that I am in a home with no cats or other furry small animals just because well I am a husky and still so young that we do not know how I will keep developing and changing
I am a very fast learner & very treat motivated but my newly adoptive family will have to continue my training and help me to grow into the awesome canine citizen I know I can be and desperately want to be!
I still need work on basic commands and leash training but I am doing pretty good with my training.
I may have accidents in your home if you adopt me – I had a few when I first joined my foster family. It is pretty normal for a young guy like myself to be a little nervous with a change of home so please just be patient with me because I am house trained
I do crate nicely and you may want to consider continuing this with me until I get a little older
I am learning what it means to snuggle in foster care – I do not think I ever did that before. I can tell you though that it is something I really could get used to!
I need an active home with stuff to do. I am kept busy at home between having mini adventures with my foster dad and all the other furry guys in the home! I think my next family has to really want to do these activities with me as well because I am having the time of my life!
I am just really a baby myself that requires attention so I think I would be happier in a home with no children or children over the age of 10 years of age who can be respectful of me and maybe even join in the fun of walking and training me

A 3-Step process to adopt one of our foster dogs.
1. Fill the adoption form. It might seem long, but it’s the best way to find the right dog for you and your family!
2. We’ll arrange a meeting with the foster family of the dog you want to meet so you can see if s/he’s the right one for you.
3. If you decide to move forward, you’ll be asked to agree to a home visit, fill-in and sign an adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.
