Cassidy is one of my favorite fosters. She is a sweet and gentle girl who is just a cuddlebug. Although she sleeps in a crate at night, she enjoys getting into bed with me in the morning while I have my coffee. I would love for her to go to a home where she can sleep with her human all night. She is playful and affectionate and her favorite outdoor activity is hunting lizards. She loves walks and also enjoys her food (she could stand to lose a pound :) Cassidy needs to find a home where she will be adored and loved as she should be.
Cassidy was rescued from the Riverside Shelter where she was received in a terrible state. The tick infestation was one of the worst they had seen, and due to the intense scratching, she scarred her cornea on her right eye, but this does not affect her vision. In addition to the ticks, she was not spayed and had developed a mammary mass. She also had dewclaws that were hanging...upon rescue, we removed the tumor (it was biopsied malignant; however, margins were clear), the dewclaws and spayed her. The only other thing that could have been done was repairing her cherry eyes, but they are so minimal, we did not want to put her through anything more than what she had already been through. Cassidy is up to date on all of her vaccinations (including rabies), microchipped and spayed.
