Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Angelo was found as a stray and he was having a difficult time in the local shelter. The shelter decided he would do better in a foster home that knows IGs so that is how Angelo arrived in rescue. We picked him up and he is so incredibly beautiful. He is pink and white! He kind of looks like Piglet according to the foster home. They also think he is an Italian angel, so they named him Angelo. When you first see him, you do think that he might be albino at first. His belly and any other skin is totally pink. He has a small dark circle on his head, almost like a large freckle. One of his ears has a brownish color on the edge of it, so it actually looks like he has dirt on his ear. The shelter estimated him to be around 3 or 4 years of age. At he shelter nobody could handle him because all he did was sit in the back of his kennel and growl at people since he was so scared and unsure of his new surroundings. The minute he got 'home', he was a totally normal iggie. He loves, loves, loves children. All he wants to do is play with them. He also likes the household iggies at his foster home and tries to play with them. He eats very well and has had a few short training sessions. He has started to learn to sit already. It doesn't appear he knows any commands from his past. He is also a bit unsure of adults. He wants to come when called, but is not sure about it. Although this dog is good with kids, any potential home with children must understand how fraile IG legs and bones can be and how easily they can be broken. To put a plate in a broken leg the cost is usually $1500-1800 so a family should have very gentle children to be considered to adopt this dog. Angelo is being fostered in Omaha, NE. Local adoptions are preferred.May 6, 2024, 12:08 am
