Harley is a great 2.5 year old male Italian Greyhound who ALWAYS has to be around his owner. If he is not by your side or in your lap he will whine a little to let you know he needs your love. Harley has the biggest IG 'smile' of any dog we have had in rescue, he even shows all of his pretty teeth to you when you get home due to his happiness. He likes to jump on the furniture and make himself at home or use it as a lookout post even if nothing exciting is happening. Harley does bark when he doesn't recognize somebody and is territorial if he thinks somebody is intruding on his turf. He is being evaluated if he should go to a home with ANY age chidren becuase he barked at kids coming in to his former home since he didn't recognize them. When it comes down to it he runs inside when he hears another dog bark or my other pups start wrestling. Harley has excellent potty habits and when he needs to go he will stand or pace near a door to give you some warning. However, since he is an Italian Greyhound he will have accidents in the house no matter how fully housetrained you think he is. Harley doesn't seem to have much interest in toys at the moment, but maybe once he is settled that will change. Compared to most foster dogs he has had no problems adjusting with house full of male dogs and settled right in without any dominance issues. Harley weighs around 11 lbs estimated and is white with black pied spotting. His coat is in great shape and his teeth are clean and healthy. He is due for shots soon and will get them before he is placed in a home. This guy has already been fixed and is in good health. Harley is being fostered in Lincoln, NE.
