Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oliver is a 7 year old Italian Greyhound who loves to cuddle. He still plays with the other dogs, but likes to lay and be lazy also. If he doesn't want attention he will let you know. Therefore, he will need to go to a home with no children or older children who will give him space when needed. He can jump, and does from the floor to the back of the couch or chairs but not often. He likes to greet us at the door every day. He also wags his tail in a way that reminds us of a cat. Oliver is a little overweight and is on a diet currently. He is blue in color, and has mild hair loss on his back. The hair loss is probably partially due to his color (common for that color of IG) and due to a poor diet of a supercenter brand dog food. He currently has had a couple of accidents a day, but does go outside to go potty most of the time. He seems to be a little more cold tolerant than most of the other IGs and pokes around in the yard in freezing temperatures if his curiosity gets the best of him. Oliver is being fostered in Lincoln, NE. Please research this breed if you haven't had previous experience with Italian Greyhounds. *******UPDATE********* Oliver has settled in well at his foster home and quickly bonded in the house. He gets along fine with the other dogs in the home and can't get enough attention. As mentioned above he acts like a cat, and even arches his back when he is getting scratched. How funny he is sometimes! Oliver has reduced his weight now and is at a much more ideal weight for his size. His hair has not filled in much but that sometimes takes months to happen, and frequently in the blue color of IGs it will remain thinned.May 6, 2024, 12:08 am
