Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Scamp was turned over to IG rescue from another rescue group because they were not familiar with the breed and thought she would do better with an expereinced care giver. Scamp originally came off of a puppy auction where breeders who don't care about the well-being of their dogs sell the animals for very little. Unfortunately, the dogs off the auctions usually have many physical and mental problems and Scamp has had a hard life. Scamp is leary of people and will run to a corner in fear of somebody touching her. So, you must have a securely fenced yard to be considered for Scamp. She is doing good with all of our dogs but does not want much to do with us. However she does go outside in the front yard and when she is ready she goes to the door and goes in. She likes to sit on pillows as long as one of the other dogs is with her and we humans are not on the same couch. She loves to eat; for a while we had trouble getting her to eat but now she eats like a big girl. We had trouble coming up with a name but decided on Scamp because she likes to scamper through the house behind tables, under chairs, and any place we can not get her. I will say she is getting better though because if we go into a room she will follow us and watch what we are doing but if it looks like we are going to pick her up off she scampers. She will take a while to get adjusted to a new environment and family. Scamp is being fostered in Dodge City, Kansas. Only experienced IG homes will be considered for Scamp and absolutely no homes with children.May 6, 2024, 12:08 am
