Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update on Michael from his foster home: We love Michael. We call Michael 'Michael Puppy' because whenever I say 'Michael' I've got an IG running into the room to greet me. Michael Puppy is a big time cuddler. He's such a handsome boy! He enjoys cleaning Nicci's ears and then when he's finished, she returns the gesture. They've got the cleanest ears, ever! It's so cute how they dote on each other. I've noticed that he's a little protective of her. He still plays fetch. We that Michael Puppy hasn't been lifting his leg outside...he's started to squat. But he still needs to improve in his house training routine.
Original description: Michael Bartholomew is a very loving and friendly. He has been around young children in his previous home. Additionally his previous home had cats, so he is adjusted to them also. Michael loves to cuddle. He is great at playing fetch. When he brings back the rope or ball - all you have to do is tell him 'Drop' and he will do so. He could play catch for hours if you could. He has no fear of large animals, and when he got out of the fence at his previous home was mingling with the horses and almost got trampled due to his lack of fear. Since Michael is white with a very fine coat he get sunburned very easily and needs sun block if he will be in the sun for any short time. He loves to be on your lap and needs a lot of attention and exercise. Michael gets a treat for going to his kennel, and is used to being in it while you are at work. He has also slept in his kennel, but like most IGs would prefer to be in bed under the covers with his people. Michael absolutely needs a home with a fenced yard because he likes to chase things, cars, etc. Every time a car goes by he races along the fence. Michael is a good little watch dog and will bark at unfamiliar sounds or people.
Michael and Nicci are a male/female pair of Italian Greyhounds that came in to rescue from their owners in Nebraska. They were both purchased in November 2004 at about 3 months of age. That would now make them just over 3 years old. According to their previous home they are both very loving dogs and will be missed a lot. The family was not able give them as much attention as they need and felt it was not fair to them.
This pair is being fostered near Grand Forks, North Dakota.May 6, 2024, 12:08 am
