Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet April! This beautiful beagle mixed girl is roughly three years old. April has had quite the life before finding safe harbor with the PAWS people. She was surrendered by her owners to a rural and high kill shelter; her owners told the staff that she had lived on a chain her entire life. They explained that she escaped once and they found her in the meat department of their local country mart! When the PAWS People saw her picture and heard her story, they had to have her! They learned within a couple days that April can climb a short fence, and where did she go?? To the daycare down the road! She broke into the playground to play with all the kids!!! Thankfully they held onto her for us, and we learned our lesson. Needless to say April has a ridiculous amount of personality!!! Everyone who meets her loves her, and vice versa! She is so friendly and lovable, it’s not even right. April does amazingly with cats and other animals, though she would not do well with a home that has a dominant, alpha dog. We are guessing April was surrendered to the animal control because she had a large lump on her abdomen and her owners didn’t want to pay to have it removed. Well that was no issue for us. April did great with her surgery and is now fully vetted and ready to be the queen of her own castle!! Not only is this gal a loving, cuddling, hunk of goofball, but she is fully crate and potty trained to boot! Seriously, April may just be the total package! Her adoption fee is $200 and she is available for adoption through PAWS Rescue & Sanctuary. If interested please fill out an application on our website or call her foster mom, Erica (314-435-3128)
