My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sirius was picked up on Holly Ln on 4/27/16. He appears to be a young male Mountain Cur mix. He was found with a little chihuahua female and they whine and whimper when separated from each other. He is super sweet and loving and very playful.

Follow us on facebook under Lewisburg Animal Shelter Volunteers to see more candid photos of the dogs in our photo Albums. The current adoption fee is $125 which includes the dogs spay or neuter and Rabies vaccination at a local vet, and covers the distemper/parvo vaccine and bordetella vaccine and dewormings it receives here at our shelter.

After you have brought proof of your dogs spay/neuter back to the shelter $50 of that adoption fee will be returned to you, or you may choose to donate it so that another dog can be spayed or neutered at our shelter.

By TN state law stray dogs are held for 3 days so they can be found by their owners before being put up for adoption or rescue. A dog found as a stray wearing a collar is held for 5 days before it is put up for adoption or rescue. Our shelter is a first come first adopt/rescue facility. There are no holds placed on dogs for potential adopters/rescue. They are available at 7am on the day they are available and must be picked up and paid for at that date/time. An adopter or rescue cannot call and hold a dog to be picked up at a later date. It is available to the public until it walks out the door.
