Here's what the humans have to say about me:
“Cool”, “handsome”, “goofy”, “a sweetheart” and “laid back” are words that people have used to describe Rocco after meeting him. He spent over two years in a kennel being passed over and forgotten by everyone except the staff that loved him, until they coordinated with Soul Mutts Rescue to get him into a foster home. Instead of being bitter about all that wasted time, Rocco recognized the positive change his life had taken and seized the opportunity to impress his foster mom and everyone he met along the way, in the hopes of finding his forever home. Rocco has several food and environmental allergies that are easily managed, particularly by feeding a limited ingredient kibble. Rocco loves everyone he meets and is looking for the person or family that will help him make up for lost time. He’s housebroken, well-mannered (will even “sit” and “wait” to eat his food until he’s told to “take it”), and has enough charm to last a lifetime. Rocco doesn’t like being kept in a crate (who can blame him after living in one for more than two years?!) but behaves perfectly when left in foster mom’s bedroom by himself. Rocco has not been tested with other dogs and would do best in a house without cats or other small animals. Rocco is the happiest when he’s tucked under a blanket and cuddled by one of his many human friends. An addition to the family with this much personality and love to give won’t be available for long, so be sure to fill out an application if you’re interested in Rocco!

Please note that all dogs in rescue are in private foster homes and meet and greets are by appointment only with approved applications. Rocco's adoption fee is $350.
