Hi there folks! My name is Ren. I was named that by my foster dad because he says I look at lot like Ren from Ren and Stimpy. My Veterinarian and foster family thinks I am part toy fox terrier and boxer, and 100% adorable! I am almost a year old they think, and weigh about 30 pounds. My foster Mom says I look like Santa’s Little Helper from the Simpson’s, but with ears like Yoda. Because of my dashing good looks, easy going fun loving nature and am such a good boy my foster parents & the rescue volunteers say I will make some lucky person or family a great pet.
I have been fixed (I still don’t know what was broken), I have had my vaccinations and have been tested for parasites and got a good health report from the Veterinarian. My foster mommy was so happy when the results came back from the veterinarians test that I was heart worm negative. Apparently that’s a big deal down in Georgia, that's where I was “rescued” from. I am now living in a really great foster home and I am told they will love and care for me until just the right home is chosen for me. My Foster Parents think that this is at least my third home, and I’m not quite a year old. I really want a forever home of my own...one where I am loved and treasured ...
So! Do you want to know more about me? Well okay then! I get along with boy and girl dogs, big and small. I haven’t really met any cats or little humans. I love to go on walks, (not in the rain). I am very good on a leash. I am intelligent and inquisitive, and am a fast learner. I come when my name is called, I like to ride in cars (unlike my foster brother, I do not puke in the back of the car.), I love to cuddle up with both dogs and humans.. I am told this is a typical boxer trait... Wanna hear something funny? Well, okay, I often sit on the bigger dogs here, they don't seem to mind since I am so calm and lightweight! Lol! And I love Nylabones, Beef Marrow Bones, antlers, Kongs, and anything with a squeaker. I am enthusiastic about all of my toys. I am doing very well learning the difference between shoes and toys. There was a little confusion on my part in the beginning. I am very happy and easy to get along with, Nothing really bothers me, I have a happy outlook and bring smiles and laughter wherever I go, also I just love living in this foster home with other pets where I am well cared for and loved, BUT I so want a permanent home of my own with Forever parents and maybe even some furry siblings.
I really crave attention. I love my belly being rubbed, and my chin being scratched. I love to snuggle on the couch and prefer to sleep with my parents. I can’t sleep with them often, because they say four dogs and two people don’t fit on a queen size bed. I share a crate a night with my big sister, because I don’t like being alone. I cry when my mom and dad are out of my sight, even if I am with my foster sisters and brother. I don’t know why. They always come back, but I am so afraid that one time they might not.
My foster family, everyone at the rescue and vets office make a big fuss over me when they see me... I am incredibly sweet and want to be loved. If you have a heart that needs loving and has lots of love to give me back then I maybe your boy! Remember I am under a year old and lots of energy and I would really like a family where there the people will love me forever, take good care of me, keep me up to date with yearly vet checks and vaccinations & who will have lots of time to play, walks, take me for jogs, or even agility then please fill out an application to adopt me.
