My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dakota and Yukon! These two adorable labradoodles come from a loving home in Levittown, PA, where they have been since they were puppies. Unfortunately their mom is moving to a new home where she is unable to keep her babies.

Dakota and Yukon were both born in September of 2007, making them 8 years old today. They are not brothers, but they came from the same breeder. When the breeder heard that the woman was interested in both of them she immediately stuck the two pups together. With that in mind, they have been together, without literally so much as an hour separation, since the ages of 6 and 8 weeks old. Due to the fact that they are so close, they must be adopted together as one can simply not live without the other.

Dakota and Yukon are healthy, and up-to-date on shots. Dakota is the apricot colored labradoodle, and Yukon is white. They have both been neutered. They are extremely well-behaved and love to play and meet new people. The second someone walks through the door they are begging for attention. They might jump and nudge at your guests hands and arms to be pet, but once they are acknowledged they will go about their business. Due to the fact that they may jump and knock a young child over in excitement, they would be better off in a house with 10+ year olds. They’re good with other dogs, but not cats. They are trained to go to the bathroom outside, and are used to having free reign in the house for sleeping arrangements, except not on the couch or in a human bed.

Their mom is very upset to have to give them up, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that her boys are placed in a safe and loving home, because they deserve nothing less.

Is there room in your home and your heart for two loveable dogs? Or, do you know someone who would like to have a wonderful addition to their family? Please contact Ally at The Crossings Animal Society either by email at adoptions@CrossingsAnimalSociety.org or by calling us at (215) 321-4673.
