Jessie's Story...
Hello name is Jessie...and I have a story to share with you...I don't know if any of you have seen my pictures before...but I was found by someone and decided to take me over to the fire house station 26 to scan my chip...well as it turned out...I didn't have one...well I was pretty upset at this collar with any chip to determine who I belong nothing ...the guys at the fire house felt awful for me...and guess what? They let me stay there...they posted all over the internet about me...and no one came to claim me...can you imagine what I felt like...lost then found...and now that I feel safe for a minute...hoping my family would notice I'm not there...and be looking for me...and the worst part is...they didn't...well one of the fireman shared my picture and information on a group and that's how aunt Liz from "" got involved...she posted my info all over too...and then it was decided...after a couple of days....they did the right thing...and called Animal Care and Control..they came and picked me up and drove me to their facility ..where I was processed a necklace with a number on it...they didn't know my name...they did some medical tests on me...and they found out that I have heartworms...oh my goodness could things get any worse for me? I was a nervous wreck...I don't understand how worms could be in my heart...and I was very very scared...well after some phone calls and emails...they sent out a rescue request.. and guess who answered their was aunt Liz from Barky Pines...they have also found out that a wonderful organization is gonna help with my heartworm treatment...aunt Liz contacted a woman who had fostered for her in the past and asked if she could help and guess what she said? She said yes...soooo today...was a dog wash and pawprint event at ACC...and a bunch of my furry friends got their prints done and a nice bath...then they saved the best for came out...and everyone was fawning all over me...I met aunt Liz and aunt Mary for the very first time...and there were sooo many other people there who were helping do prints and baths...I knew in my heart...once I saw aunt Liz...that my life is gonna change today...and it's about to...aunt Liz finished up her event...I went back to my space...and then she went ahead and signed me out...I am now waiting for my foster to come pick me up...I will then start my medicine to prepare for my heartworm treatment and then....I will be ready to find a forever home...I want to thank the person who found me...for the wonderful friends I made at the firehouse...they loved me from the very first minute they met me...and of course to aunt Liz from Barky Pines...who decided...I was gonna get that chance I've been praying for...I promise to keep you all posted on how I'm doing...until then...God bless you all..for caring...and especially...for sharing...woof woof #BPFF

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jessie, a Loxahatchee Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Loxahatchee, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Loxahatchee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loxahatchee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loxahatchee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loxahatchee paves the way for another one to be saved.
