My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sheena is a young dog, for her teeth are snowy white.  She is likely just over a year old, and yet she was out roaming around and fending for herself.  A lady who lives very near to the highway didn't want to see her roaming in the road, so she blocked her onto the porch at her house.  Then she asked if ARF would help her find a good home, so we took her into our program on 5/3/2016.  Sheena is a very friendly girl, good with kids, with other dogs, with cats, men, and women.  She does not like chickens! She has likely never been allowed inside, and she wants to get out and to roam around since that is what she knows.  She will need a fenced yard so that she can enjoy the outside but be safe. Sheena is at least 50 pounds, maybe more, but she hasn't been to the vet yet to climb on the scales. She is obviously part basset hound, but the ears are not basset and she has a lot of speckles!  Could she be mixed with heeler? Maybe!  She loves to have her belly rubbed and would stay still all day if someone would scratch her belly.  If she is left alone without a playmate (dog or child), she may get bored and start to chew on something, so she still has puppy tendencies.  Sheena hasn't had a lot of attention or training, but she has a sweet personality and is very loving and accepting.  The rest will come!
