Imagine your reward for a lifetime of love and devotion is abandonment! Meet Riley (born 11/01/2004); a happy, lighthearted and oh! sooo friendly! female Shih Tzu with a beautiful soft silky non-shedding tan and white coat. Twelve pounds of the sweetest dog you will ever meet. Riley arrived at the Safehouse on 04/30/16 after living with her original owner from puppyhood on. Riley is confused by the loss of her lifelong family and home but adjusting well. Don’t let her numbers fool you; Riley is a healthy active pet with a friendly, out-going, personality (and she knows a few adorable little tricks as well!!). One look into her big brown trusting eyes (catch a glimpse of the mischief hidden behind them) and your heart will melt. Riley is totally housetrained, well mannered, quiet and calm; a perfect companion. She loves fuzzy squeak toys and can romp like a puppy but not all the time; a perfect move-in ready companion. Accustomed to living with a family she arrives with some basic training; she knows what “no” means and when you call her . . . . SHE COMES!! Riley, with her ever-wagging tail, really treasures the lively attention of people; undemanding, she wants nothing more than to be loved and hugged, with toys and treats thrown in as a bonus!! She enjoys playing in the great outdoors (indoors too!). Keep in mind, Riley is not a couch potato lap dog, she will need a home with daily walks but she loves nap time tool!! If you are looking for an instant companion, who can settle right in, leave you time for yourself and let you get a good night’s sleep, come meet Riley. All she wants is a second chance at a loving home. Riley is spayed, microchipped, current on all vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and she has had a complete physical and dental. Her adoption fee is $200. Please note: Riley is eligible for our Senior-to-Senior discount.
