Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Matthew is a shy dog that didn't get a lot of socialization at his former home. When he was surrendered to our rescue he was completely matted and miserable. Matthew has lived with other small dogs and currently lives with a larger senior dog and they get along fine. It has taken a long time but he has finally started to come out of his shell and trust humans. A calmer adult home where someone is home often or possibly one with another dog would be best for him. He is a lap dog that wants to be with his person so those interested in adopting him must want him as a close companion.
He is crate trained, and mostly housetrained if taken out regularly. He is stressed at adoption events
and doesn't attend them at this time so please email us for more info. His approximate birthdate is 6/3/08
