Holly is one of our sponsored dogs. So is her best friend, Allie. We have a wonderful donor who is willing to pay almost all of her adoption donation. (Holly's adopter only will need to donate a $25 adoption fee.) This generous donor has offered to do this because he knows that the majority of animals in the LA Shelters are Chihuahuas and Chihuahua-mixes, pit bulls and pit bull mixes and adult cats.
Holly is a Chihuahua Mix and he wants to encourage people to adopt this lovely and sweet breed. Holly is an adorable, floppy-eared Chihuahua mixed with something equally adorable (we think Miniature Pinscher). Holly is 4 years old, weighs about nine pounds and is in excellent health. She is easy to be around, a bit shy at first but very affectionate and obedient. This mellow little girl currently lives with three dogs and three cats. Holly scores an A+ for playing well with her siblings and for being excellent on a leash, which would make her a great running/walking/hiking partner. She is housebroken and loves to play with her toys and her foster sister, Allie.
This little cutie does fine in a crate, loves her soft warm bed but much prefers the comfort of her person’s lap or snuggling under the covers in bed. When coming home from a long day at work, there is no better greeter or happier dog than little Holly. Holly’s best friend is Allie. They’re always playing together, chasing each other and showing each other life’s ropes. We have posted a picture of them together with this write-up.
