My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Alice, a beautiful orange and white kitty with pretty swirls as markings! These pictures really doesn't do this beautiful girl justice - she just wouldn't sit still long enough to get a better one! She is shy and reserved at first, but curiosity gets the best of her and she starts to play and explore. She likes to climb, jump and run as fast as possible. Toy mice are her favorite - she acts like Queen of the Jungle when she gets a hold of one of those!  She LOVES other cats and kittens, and doesn't seem to be bothered much by dogs at all.  Alice came into our rescue when the stray kitten was caught in a live trap meant to catch another animal. Alice is about 4 months old. She's been spayed, microchipped, feline leukemia tested, fully vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated. Her adoption fee is $35. Alice is in a loving foster home in Flora, IL. To adopt or know more about Alice, please call/text her foster mom Laurie Pettit at 618-676-5878 or email us at furagoodpaws@yahoo.com. An adoption application form is available on our website www.furagoodpaws.org.

We invest approx. $65 in each adoptable cat/kitten to cover the costs of vaccines, feline leukemia test, spay/neuter surgery, microchip. More is spent on dewormer, flea treatment, food, and litter. Our adoption fees are low, so that rescued pets can find homes. We often lose money on our pets. Donations to our nonprofit are tax deductible and very much appreciated.

Fur a Good Paws is a small, all-volunteer, donation-based rescue based in Clay County, IL that operates through loving foster homes. We also provide spay-neuter assistance to community pets in need and help by educating the public about responsible pet ownership.
