My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Boomer is a purebred, red male bloodhound, approximate age 10 months. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and healthy. He does have some deformities in one of his front legs, but they do not seem to bother him and he has adapted well to them. His left front leg has a noticeable 'hook' to the long-bone and all of his legs are shorter than normal. Veterinary examination seems to indicate at a much younger age, his leg may have been caught in a trap of some sort and broken. The attending vet believes the dwarfing of his other legs was the natural result of adaptation in his growth due to the lack of growth in the broken leg which mended wrong. He is a very friendly boy, getting along well with everyone and everything. He can be a real pest to older dogs because he loves to play and just doesn't know when to quit. He also loves to chase the cats and have them bat at his face with their paws. He is rides well and is housebroken. He has a great disposition with children, though due to his exuberant nature and activity level, he is not suited to a home with children under the age of 6 years. He is well-mannered, though still a puppy and needs ongoing training to learn to be a great household companion. Boomer is fostered in Lincolnton NC.
