My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BABY is a 1.5 year old spayed black female Lab who weighs 63 pounds. Baby is a sweet and outgoing girl. She loves affection and belly rubs. She needed to get out of a shelter in an area in WV affected by the recent floods. Her journey included a raft trip because the small bridge to the shelter was unusable. Baby is friendly with dogs and traveled well in the car. She will need to go to obedience training. From transporter: Baby pulled some on the leash, so she will do best with an Easy Walk harness. She was calm in the crate. She waited patiently for me to hook her on the leash and went into the vet just fine. She was around several other dogs and was nice with everyone. She went willingly with the vet tech. Second transporter: Baby was a love and didn't stop wagging her tail. From foster: "Baby" was rescued from the flood plains of West Virginia and is enjoying her first day in her foster home. And, WOW, she is a SWEET pup! Baby naturally sits each time we put on a leash, sits and waits for feedings, retrieves tennis balls and has torn up her first squeaky toy! This girl is naturally submissive and has a lab personality which makes her want to please, ask for affection and give it right back. She is approved for kids 10+. More info soon!

Update: Baby is naturally submissive and wants to please. She knows the commands sit and roll over. She sits without a command each time she puts on her leash and when she is fed. She craves affection and gives it right back. Baby follows her foster mom from room to room and will look for her if she is out of sight. She will great her people at the front door like they are a rock star! She is NOT a high energy lab and sleeps most of the day. And, Baby is easy to handle at 63 lbs.
