My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marilla is a sweet and gentle soul, who spent a hard life in a breeding facility before she came to Col. Potter. Marilla had to learn about living in a house, which she has adjusted to well. She actually loves to follow foster mom around when she is doing laundry, vacuuming or scrubbing the floors. She is quite the little helper! Marilla gets very excited to meet other dogs or people, with her tail wagging in excitement. She did not trust hands at all when she arrived, and has an issue with being touched. Her foster home has been working to teach her hands are a good thing by giving out yummy treats, and Marilla is now a pro at gently taking treats from our hands. She is making great progress and actually likes being touched now, and recently Marilla let foster mom rub her belly. While she was cautious at first, she totally relaxed after a bit. Marilla gets very excited at meal time, dancing and putting her nose on my leg to let me know she is ready to eat! She is also trying to join in when we have play time with the resident dogs. At first she would leave the room, but now she will pick up a toy with tail wagging, trying to figure out how to join in the fun. Marilla is a sweet girl who only needs a home with love and patience to continue helping to build her confidence.
