Waitress is one of the 'Working Americans' group of Cairns who came from a commercial breeding facility. She has only been with us for a couple of weeks and is still adjusting to civilian life - grass, toys, blankets in her crate, healthy food, and vet care. Waitress wags her tail all the time. She is such a laid-back, social girl. During a recent vet visit she went up to a couple in the Waiting Area and wanted some love from them. They commented that she'd have no problem getting adopted. She is very calm and looks after our other little Cairn foster, Secretary. She does not growl at other dogs and generally seems well-adjusted despite living in a commercial breeding facility her whole life. I love her enormous brown eyes and good nature. Waitress and our other foster, Secretary, walk around together, drink out of the same water bowl, and share everything including a larger crate. We have joined two wire crates together and they can choose to be together or separate. Waitress has a nice, coarse coat of fur and is very huggable. She is getting used to a schedule and pottying outside. She is so smart and quick. She knows how to use a doggie door and figures out everything so quickly. Waitress is getting acquainted with a leash and is beginning to walk at a regular pace. She is spayed, current on all vaccinations, and has been given monthly flea preventative. Stay tuned for updates on this wonderful Cairn girl.
