This 8-year-old breeder boy has weaved his way into our hearts, mastered house training, learned how wonderful laps are for naps, learned that going into his crate means quiet time but that he will be coming back out again soon, learned that good food is yummy, and how to sit for treats. He is a happy boy, and loves everyone he meets. Thunder adores his toys, often hiding them for safe keeping. Today, I put all noisy toys away, only to hear him squeaking a ball within five minutes. Traded him for a quiet toy, again to hear him squeak five minutes later! He just went to his hiding spots, retrieving the beloved squeakers. Thunder is a small Cairn, which is helpful because he has some small special needs. He has mild neurological weaknesses, so we need to make accommodations to keep him safe. He can not go down stairs, we carry him. He can go up, but needs his leash held tight so if he loses his balance, he can be caught. He doesn't always put his feet out when being put down, so care needs to be taken to set him on his feet before release. We are seeing improvements as he gains weight, and builds muscle strength. Thunder is one in a million, a very special boy. Are you looking for a one-in-a-million boy? If so, put in your application, as he might be the one!
