My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Diego came to Col. Potter after retiring as a breeder dog from the midwest. He's up to date on shots and has been neutered. He's learning what freedom is - meeting new people and seeing new things - and plays nicely with other dogs. Diego sleeps very well in his crate at night and is quiet when in his crate during the day. Diego is also becoming more trusting and has started to be comfortable enough around humans to jump into foster mom's lap to take a nap. Other than lap napping, I've never seen Diego stop - there is just too much to see and do! He enjoys long walks and his toys. His current favorite hobby is ripping the stuffing out of his cloth toys. Diego is trying really hard to learn the rules of the house and how to harness his excessive energy. It's not easy to do when you've been cooped up for the first three years of your life. Diego is an extremely active Cairn and will need a very active family. If you're an active, outdoorsy type, Diego is the dog for you!
