My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please welcome Miss Coconut--A.K.A., Coco. Through no fault of her own, she was dropped off at a high kill shelter where she promptly developed severe kennel cough and picked up several ticks. She was rescued in the nick of time by a CP volunteer prior to being put to sleep, and has spent the last two weeks trying to make sense of all the changes in her life.
She is a very sweet, placid girl who was obviously loved in the past and she seems to have been used to large doses of human food which has resulted in a more than ample figure and poor oral care. She still needs a dental but has been coughing quite a bit and this has so far been postponed.
She is housetrained, walks well on a leash, gets along well with the resident Cairn and is a slow and dainty eater, something I have never seen before in a Cairn! She will take treats very carefully and although not really sure she likes dog food, will eat it when nothing else appears.
She has shown some interest in squirrels and will let you know when other dogs walk by outside. She loves human company and will join you on the sofa to watch TV or snooze.
Coco would be perfect in a calm adult home, she has no bad habits that we have seen and asks for little other than your love, a soft bed, yummy food and short outdoor walks.
